Job Description

Key Responsibilities: As HR Administrator you will be responsible for overseeing the following: 1. Recruitment and Onboarding Posting job advertisements and sourcing candidates. Screening CVs and supporting initial interviews. Coordinating with hiring managers for arranging interviews and undertaking admin tasks to support decisions. Conducting Right to Work checks and seeking references. Facilitating onboarding processes, including new hire orientation and paperwork. 2. Employee Relations Acting as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns. Supporting Managers with first line advice and support in addressing workplace conflicts Promoting positive employee relations and ensuring compliance with workplace policies. Assisting in organising employee engagement activities and events. Supporting with initiatives following staff survey results. 3. Policy and Compliance Assisting in developing, updating, and enforcing HR policies and procedures. Ensuring compliance with HR laws and regulations. Maintaining accurate and confidential employee records. Conducting audits to ensure adherence to company and legal standards. 4. Performance Management Supporting managers with employee performance evaluations and feedback, by taking notes and drafting letters Helping coordination of performance improvement plans and tracking progress. Helping implement performance appraisal systems. 5. Training and Development Identifying training needs through surveys, interviews, or performance metrics. Assisting in the coordination of training sessions on various topics (e.g., compliance, diversity). Assisting in career development and succession planning initiatives. 6. Health and Safety Assisting in the promotion of workplace health and safety initiatives. Supporting managers to address workplace accidents. 7. Data Management and Reporting Maintaining HR systems for tracking employee data, leavers, and performance. Preparing HR metrics and analytics for reporting to leadership. Using data insights to recommend policy or process improvements. 8. Strategic Support Contributing to strategy discussions by providing HR insights. Assisting with change management processes. Ensuring alignment of HR initiatives with company goals. 9. Miscellaneous Managing HR-related projects. Representing the company at job fairs or community events. Building relationships with Newcastle and Northumbria University. Supporting any exit processes, including exit interviews and offboarding. Key Skills and Competencies Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of Employment Legislation and HR best practices. Problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities. Proficiency with HR management systems and office tools. Organisational and time-management skills. This role is dynamic and requires balancing various responsibilities, making it ideal for someone who enjoys working across multiple HR disciplines. Qualifications: Education: A CIPD Qualification is preferred level 5 or a relevant degree. Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in an HR role.
