Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Support geospatial data processing and analysis tasks using GIS and remote sensing tools

  • Assist with satellite imagery preprocessing, analysis, and visualization

  • Develop and run Python scripts for automating geospatial workflows

  • Perform spatial analysis and contribute to map production and reporting

  • Conduct day to day GIS data quality checks to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency

  • Maintain documentation of datasets, workflows, and processing steps

  • Collaborate with senior geospatial engineers and data scientists on ongoing projects

Essential Skills & Experience
  • Master’s degree in Geospatial Engineering, Remote Sensing, Geomatics, Geography, Earth Observation, or a related discipline

  • Experience working with GIS and remote sensing platforms, including QGIS, ArcGIS, and Google Earth Engine (GEE)

  • Experience processing satellite imagery (optical and/or SAR), including basic preprocessing and analysis

  • Experience using Python for geospatial data processing, including libraries such as GeoPandas, Rasterio, GDAL, NumPy, or similar

  • Understanding of spatial data analysis concepts and geospatial workflows

  • Experience in performing GIS system checks, including data validation, quality control, and consistency checks

Additional Desirable Attributes
  • Familiarity with cloud-based platforms (, Azure, AWS)

  • Exposure to remote sensing concepts such as classification, change detection, or time-series analysis
