About the Role - Graduate Geospatial Engineer Key Responsibilities Support geospatial data processing and analysis tasks using GIS and remote sensing tools Assist with satellite imagery preprocessing, analysis, and visualization Develop and run Python scripts for automating geospatial workflows Perform spatial analysis and contribute to map production and reporting Conduct day to day GIS data quality checks to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency Maintain documentation of datasets, workflows, and processing steps Collaborate with senior geospatial engineers and data scientists on ongoing projects Essential Skills & Experience Master’s degree in Geospatial Engineering, Remote Sensing, Geomatics, Geography, Earth Observation, or a related discipline Experience working with GIS and remote sensing platforms, including QGIS, ArcGIS, and Google Earth Engine (GEE) Experience processing satellite imagery (optical and/or SAR), including basic preprocessing and analysis Experience using Python for geospatial data processing, including libraries such as GeoPandas, Rasterio, GDAL, NumPy, or similar Understanding of spatial data analysis concepts and geospatial workflows Experience in performing GIS system checks, including data validation, quality control, and consistency checks Additional Desirable Attributes Familiarity with cloud-based platforms (, Azure, AWS) Exposure to remote sensing concepts such as classification, change detection, or time-series analysis Application submission deadline: 02/01/2026 Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: £32,000.00-£35,000.00 per year Benefits: Casual dress Company events Company pension Cycle to work scheme Enhanced maternity leave Private medical insurance Work from home Ability to commute/relocate: Newcastle upon Tyne NE1: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Work Location: In person
