Origin Tech Partners with Newcastle University
Origin secured a partnership with Newcastle University to develop trenchless pipe repair technology
Origin are delighted to announce that they have secured a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) with Newcastle University, supporting the next phase of innovation and development at Origin.
Working alongside Dr Ben Wetenhall and Dr Weichao Shi, the team will collaborate on advancing Origin No Dig® trenchless pipe repair technology to the next level.
The project will focus on developing enhanced predictive tools and engineering guidance to support better infrastructure management, helping water companies reduce leakage, optimise resource allocation, and lower carbon emissions.
As a North East business, they expressed that they were incredibly proud to strengthen their long-standing relationship with Newcastle University while driving innovation that delivers measurable benefits across the water industry and the communities it serves.
