Origin make their first feature on BBC News and BBC Wiltshire radio discussing how Origin Find and Fix® supports Thames Water in reducing leakage.
Founder John Marsden had the opportunity to go live on BBC Wiltshire radio, where he spoke about Origin Tech’s role in supporting Thames Water in tackling one of the industry’s most persistent challenges of leakage. The discussion highlighted the impact of the company’s end‑to‑end solution, Origin Find and Fix®, and its contribution to improving efficiency across the network.
In 2026 alone, Origin Orbit® has been able to identify over 5K leaks, which is over 73.45 ML/d of leakage. These figures translate to 293,800 baths a day!
The radio feature marked a proud moment for the wider team, reflecting growing recognition of their work on a highly respected public platform. At a time when approximately 19% of treated water in the UK is lost due to leakage, the conversation reinforced the importance of raising awareness around innovative, scalable solutions that can help address this critical issue.
The appearance not only showcased the organisation’s progress but also emphasised its ongoing commitment to supporting water utilities in delivering more resilient and sustainable infrastructure.
