Origin Hosts First No Dig Collaborative Learning Workshop at Severn Trent Academy
Origin recently delivered our first Origin No Dig® Collaborative Learning Workshop at the Severn Trent Academy, bringing together industry professionals for demonstrations of our trenchless repair technology. The session created an open space for sharing operational insights, exploring innovation opportunities, and strengthening collaborative approaches to leakage reduction. This workshop marks the beginning of a series of learning events focused on supporting water companies with practical, sustainable solutions.

Origin Tech is proud to have successfully delivered our first Origin No Dig® Collaborative Learning Workshop, hosted at the Severn Trent Academy. The event brought together professionals from across the water sector to share experiences, explore innovative solutions, and strengthen collaborative approaches to leakage reduction and infrastructure resilience.
The workshop featured live demonstrations of Origin No Dig® Mains and Origin No Dig® Home, giving attendees a close-up look at our trenchless repair technology in action. We also introduced the group to the latest version of the product, Origin No Dig+™, the newest version of the product currently in R&D.
During the session, we shared its intended applications, early trial results, and explored how its use could be integrated across different water companies. Attendees were able to see the product applied during the live demonstration, providing real context for how the technology performs on-site.
Although still in development, early feedback on Origin No Dig+™ was highly positive, with attendees recognising its potential to enhance repair efficiency and support proactive, low‑disruption leakage reduction.
Throughout the day, participants engaged in open discussion on operational challenges, best practice, and future opportunities for innovation. This collaborative format sparked valuable conversations around visibility of network data, preventative management and the growing role of technology in driving efficiency across networks.
The workshop marks the start of a series of learning-focused events designed to encourage connection, knowledge-sharing, and continuous improvement across the sector. We’re grateful to those at Severn Trent for supporting the event and everyone who joined us to contribute to a highly productive and insightful session.
