Can Origin's new Find and Fix solution solve the repair problem?

Origin appears in Global Water Intelligence for the first time. The article quotes Origin's co-founder, John Marsden, and highlighted the capabilities and real-world impact of Origin Find & Fix®, breaking down the service into its core components of Origin Orbit® satellite leak detection and Origin No Dig® repair technology.

UK utilities are turning to Origin's leak detection and trenchless repair technology for commercial use after a wave of successful trials in autumn 2025.

The recent trials have signaled a significant push by Origin to couple its existing trenchless No Dig repair technology with its Orbit satellite technology into a single offering called Origin Find & Fix®. Northumbrian Water, Severn Trent and the Pennon Group, already customers of No Dig, have now begun commercial deployment of Origin Find and Fix®.

"Once a company uses No Dig, we aim to convince them that Find and Fix is the most efficient way of remediating leaks they never knew about," says Origin co-founder John Marden. The pairing can bring leak detection and repair time down to as little as a week, according to Marden, with satellite detection, typically taking six days and utilities fixing leaks the same or next day. He is confident of continues uptake of Find and Fix, "Wessex Water is now transitioning from trail to business and usual, and I believe that Thames will do the same too."
