Origin Orbit® satellite leak detection is the use of Near-Earth orbit satellites to identify water leakage. Clients can specify geographical areas of interest where leak reduction is a priority to target their search. Origin Orbit® has the capacity to survey everything from a problematic length of pipe to a full city survey, surveys are now charged on a per linear kilometre basis subject to a minimum service charge.

The surveys result in the identification of points of interest along the pipeline network where we see a combination of alerting factors, which when interpreted with our proprietary software, indicate water leakage from the pipeline.

In many cases these are non-visible leaks ie: leaks which can't be seen by eye and would not be identified by ordinary "boots on the ground" inspections. This location data is accurate within 20m and due to our unique technology is also successful where line of sight is blocked by tree and foliage growth.

Remote sensing and analysing

Origin Orbit® satellite leak detection uses remote sensing satellites, which means huge areas can be surveyed with accuracy and speed, limiting the requirement for expensive in-person survey.

Client data

Origin Orbit® utilises client GIS data, this is a high quality, accurate data source collated over an extended period of time, leading to quality data outputs.

Data collection

Our model combines remote sensing satellite and client data, creating a vast data pool to feed the Origin Orbit® AI program.

AI analysis

AI analysis cross-examines a multitude of risk factors in an automated process of pattern recognition, which means that huge amounts of data can be processed quickly and with accuracy providing meaningful and actionable insights.

POI identification

Origin Orbit® interprets the AI information, enabling it to identify POI’s with significant indicators of subterranean water leakage.

Route plan

POI’s are visualized on a route plan, this is an automated service that saves internal logistical resources.

Share POI's with Field Operators

POI’s are sent directly to field technicians handheld devices, which means that technicians have real-time schedules that minimise downtime and improve efficiency.

Leak validation

Field technicians attend the POI to validate the presence of a water leak.  An in-person visit allows for the use of further technologies and/or an immediate resolution. Additional, data is collected and fed back into the model.

Data collection

The Origin Orbit® AI model allows for field data to be uploaded, enabling the model to benefit from further real-world insights. As the algorithm constantly evolves it provides more accurate results over time.
